Former Ohio Governor Bob Taft Endorses Caroline Shinkle for Congress
NEW YORK, NEW YORK—Former Ohio Governor Bob Taft (R-OH), who served as the 67th Governor of the State of Ohio, endorses Caroline Shinkle for Congress in New York’s 12th Congressional District. Governor Taft is the great-grandson of President William Howard Taft who served as the 27th President of the United States and 10th Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
“I have known Caroline Shinkle her entire life. With Caroline as its Congresswoman, a bright new era of strong leadership begins for New York City. I fully endorse her candidacy.
Her credentials—a degree in economics from MIT and a law degree from Harvard— and her experience at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and in New York Big Law are second to none, and position her to be an effective lawmaker on day one. She will bring immediate relief to the challenges facing Manhattan. Caroline is the singular brilliant choice for NY-12’s next Congresswoman,” Taft said.
